Sport and exercise are in my genes - my Grandfather played tennis at Wimbledon from 1933 to 1937. From an early age I found myself competing at a high level at various different sports, and needed to make a choice as to which to commit to and focus on more seriously. Having studied at the University of Idaho on a full tennis scholarship, I graduated with a degree in Exercise (Sports) Science. After graduating here I played professional tennis on the WTA circuit for almost 5 years, competing in tournaments all over the world.
After my retirement from tennis I got into triathlon, completing 2 ironman events, several half ironman, as well as representing NZ at the triathlon world champs in Switzerland. These days I focus mostly on running, having completed dozens of half marathons and marathons, and have now stepped into the world of ultra-marathon running.
I love to train and it’s definitely part of my lifestyle and every day routine, whether it be running, cycling, HIIT sessions or Pilates/yoga sessions.

Being passionate about health and fitness, I aim to provide specific and achievable programmes to help clients reach their goals whether it be weight loss, sports specific or nutrition advice.
I like to lead by example so people can see that I actually do “practice what I preach” and tailor each programme to the clients individual needs, as one programme certainly does not fit all people.

I am so passionate about health and fitness I threw in my career as a Quantity Surveyor to follow my dream and have been living it ever since . . . . . and my life changed as a result.
Training for my second marathon at the time I thought I was in good shape, only to discover I was borderline obese! At that point my world caved in, I wasn't in a good place, this combined with a family history of heart disease told me something had to change . . . . . I had to change . . . . . so from that moment forward I changed my life for the better.
Today, 20 Kg's lighter and with over 15 years industry experience I continue to walk the talk, I train daily whether it be running, cycling, HIIT, boxing, a gym session or a yoga class . . . . . I am living proof the right type of change will both achieve results and be sustainable long term.
I finished my second marathon and have gone on to become an accomplished runner completing dozens of half marathons, marathons and ultra-marathons.
